If you're a dog lover who enjoys getting creative, then Paws and Paintz Sydney is an experience you simply cannot miss! This innovative workshop, located in the southern suburb of Rosebery, offers Australia’s first-ever painting class with puppies combining the joy of painting with the undeniable charm of cuddly, playful puppies—and yes, you even end up with paw prints on your canvas!
At Paws and Paintz, participants are welcomed into a cozy studio space where they are free to explore their artistic talents while being surrounded by adorable pups. It’s an artsy, fun and light-hearted activity. This workshop is designed to cater to all skill levels and create an unforgettable experience.
What to Expect from the Experience
The 60-minute session invites you to unleash your creativity and meet puppies with all kinds of personalities - Some pups may be lazy, curious, playful and others might cheekily run off with your paintbrush too! Their unique personalities add to the fun and spontaneity of the session, making every visit one-of-a-kind.
The best part? Some puppies in the workshop are available for adoption as well. The Art Equipment required during the experience will be supplied too including the puppy safe paints, canvas, brushes and aprons. They also provide puppy treats. Only water is allowed inside, and any other food or drinks is restricted.
After the session, they allow you to keep your art project so you can relish the memory in future as well, further enhance the art or just keep it as a memorable prop at your home.
The Vision Behind Paws and Paintz
Founded by best friends Natalie Thomas and Natalie (yep both Natalie!), Paws and Paintz was created out of their shared passion for art and love for dogs. They wanted to provide a space that combined the therapeutic benefits of painting, social interaction, and puppy cuddles. Natalie Thomas explains, "Our mission is to offer a space where people can explore their creativity while spending time with puppies."
The workshops are inclusive and family friendly. They welcome individuals of all ages, including children and those with disabilities, making it a truly enriching experience for both humans and dogs.

Pricing and Booking Details
The workshops are priced at $78.95 per session. Three sessions are available each day during event periods, giving you ample opportunity to pick a time that suits you. The venue changes multiple locations around Sydney across various dates, check here for their latest venue. We went to the one hosted at Tropical Dance Studio, Annadale but they have other events across the city!,
💡 Participants must be 15 years or older to attend a session independently.
However, they have the Pawlidays Program for children aged 5 years or older providing them a similar experience. The latest event of the same is on 10th October 2024. The children can even take a painting kit home for themselves.
